Precision Finishing

Sia abrasives have produced a range of microabrasives called CR - Finishing (Constant Result Finishing) it is an efficient method in which every finishing task is considered part of the entire process. The microtec products have been designed specifically to suit application procedures, workpieces and material. This ensures that the required surface finish is acheived with precise accuracy.

Microtec products are available in roll, sheet and disc format. Belts are also available on special request. The product structure comprises of either Aluminium Oxide, Silicon Carbide or Diamond grain which is calibrated in accordance with CIS, grit height, width and legth defined. The grit range is from100 um - 3 um (micron). The backing is polyester foil with a synthetic resin bond which permits the application of modern lubricants (oil, emulsion, water) as well as spray coolant.
