Standardized profile sanding

Ease of handling, standardized profiles & high dimensional accuracy are just three arguments in favour of the new 'profile siastar' profile sanding system from sia Abrasives. In combination with the individual sanding wheels, the cleverly designed adaptor system enables the user to simply & cleanly machine curves, round-overs, rabbets, chamfers & edges on a conventional router table, spindle moulder, edging lines & CNC machines.

Benefits

• Adaptor for CNC - simple & quick fitting to standard CNC machines, multifunctional assembly with tension spring to allow simultaneous use of two profile siastar sanding wheels.
• Adaptor for router & spindle table - simple fitting to standard router & spindle tables with either a 30mm or 31.75mm (1 1/4") bore. Quick installation of profile sanding wheels.
• Standard radius includes 2mm 3mm 4mm & 5mm profiles especially suited to fine sanding of extra small to medium radii. Simultaneous sanding of two workpiece edge/curves when two profile wheels are used.
• High Edge radius includes 5mm 6mm 8mm & 10mm profiles ideally suited to sand material thicknesses up to 45mm (1 3/4").
• Cylinder/Rebate 90 degree - can be used on both sides & for material thickness up to 50mm (2") combined with simple sanding of grooves.
• Chamfer 45 degree - simulataneous maching of two work piece edges/chamfers when two profile wheels are mounted together.

Double profiles can be machined together & possible to combine different profiles (round-overs/chamfers) with very simple adjustment of the spacing using tension spring. When used in conjunction with profile sanding wheels, the copy ring device follows the shape of the workpiece allowing easy machining of workpieces & optimum distance of the abrasive from the workpiece is maintained at al times.
