HA2000

HA2000

Detailed description

HA2000 has been developed as a high performance adhesive for assembly operations in the furniture industry (i.e. finger jointing, edge bonding, carcass assembly & hot/cold press lamination operations. It bonds a variety of sawn & plain woods, plus all synthetic & naturally derived panel stocks (except cement/silicate boards). HA2000 features high initial wet tack & fast bond development. Suitable for all joinery applications where D3 water resistance is not required.

Properties

  • Fast rate of bond strength development & high bond strength.
  • Good creep resistance to BS4071.
  • Contains no cheapening fillers.
  • Non-staining of sensitive woods (i.e. Oak, Mahogany)
  • Excellent initial tack with short open time (i.e. quick drying)
  • Exceptional qualtiy control produces unrivalled consistency.
  • Can be pressed cold or hot (i.e 50C - 70C)

 Cleaning

  • With cold water, if adhesive is wet.
  • With Acmos 101-5060 Release Agent when cured.
  • Press platens can be pre-treated, eliminating build-up of adhesive.

Suggestions for Use

Apply a uniform coating of HA2000 to surfaces using a roller, brush or other suitable equipment. The surfaces to be bonded should be asembled before the adhesive dries (i.e. skins over)  & pressed until a satisfactory bond is acheived. When bonding HPL take care that there is no anti-adhesive coating on the reverse of the laminate, as this will adversely effect the bond acheived. For best results, the materials to be bonded should be at the same ambient temperature (i.e. room temperature) & relative humidity. Simple & effective preparation will eliminate most bonding problems. Although fast setting, the nature of PVA's facilitate that full bond strength is obtained over a 12-24 period - hot pressing with accelerate the process but ensure a period of normalising is allowed after release from the press to allow for bond development.
