Detailed description

BAM 1322 is a high performance, general purpose woodworking hot melt. 1322 was developed for use with more difficult edging types including PVC, high pressure laminates (HPL) and solid wood lippings. Can be used for edge-banding, soft forming & precoating. 1322 is suitable for use on most types of edge-banders including Homag IMA, Brandt & most precoaters (i.e. Hardo).

Typical Properties

  • Natural beige colour prills.
  • Softening point of 103 C.
  • Application temperature between 190 - 220 C.
  • Viscosity 90000 cP @ 200 C.
  • Open Time - medium/short
  • Setting Speed - fast
  • Method of application - roller or slot.

Film Characterisitic

  • Beige coloured, tough, flexible film.
  • Nil surface tack at room temperature.
  • Heat seal temperature of 150 C.

  • Ideally run at 200 C application temperature.
  • Slight resin odour @ 200 C.
  • Good thermal stability @ 200 C.

Edge Strip Materials - wood, impregnated papers, primed PVC, most decorative laminates (HPL), ABS.

Storage - store in clean dry place between 5 - 30C in sealed container kept closed. 2 year storage life.

Cleaning & Maintenance - use BAMSOLVE cleaner for general maintenance of rollers & machinery parts. For preventative maintenance, user ACMOS 100-5030 release agent to help minimise adherence on pressure rollers, conveyor belts, etc.
